Canva Pro is one of the most useful tools for students, small businesses and social media managers, but paying Canva directly usually needs an international card. This guide is for anyone who wants Canva Pro on the email they already use, so their designs, folders and brand kit stay in their own account. It walks through the whole process, from choosing a plan to checking that Pro features are switched on, and explains what to do when something does not look right.
What "activated on your own email" means
There are three common ways people get Canva Pro from a store, and they are not the same:
- Activated on your own email. Your existing Canva account (or a new one you create with your email) gets Pro access. You sign in with your own email and your own password. Nobody else needs your login.
- Admin panel access. You get control of a Canva team and can invite other members. This suits agencies, institutes and resellers.
- Shared login. You use an account that belongs to someone else. You do not control the email or password, and your designs are not truly yours.
Our Canva Pro yearly plan is the first type. It is activated on your own email, and your designs stay in your own Canva account. We will never ask for your Canva password, and you should never give it to any seller.

Before you order: a quick checklist
A few minutes of preparation avoids most activation problems:
- Decide which email you will use. Use the email you plan to keep for a long time, such as your main Gmail. Pro access is tied to that address.
- Make sure you can open that inbox. The activation or invitation email is sent there, so you need access on your phone or computer.
- Create a free Canva account if you do not have one. Sign up at canva.com with the same email. Canva's own help pages note that an invitation is linked to the email address it was sent to.
- Write the email address carefully. A single wrong letter sends the invite to someone else. Copy and paste it into WhatsApp instead of typing it.
How to order and activate Canva Pro, step by step
- Open the Canva Pro page and choose the 12-month plan.
- Tap Buy Now and enter your name and WhatsApp number. You receive an order number.
- Pay with EasyPaisa, JazzCash, bank transfer or, from outside Pakistan, USDT on Binance. Then send the payment screenshot on WhatsApp.
- Send the email address you want activated. Only the email, never your password.

How to accept the Canva invitation
For email plans, we either upgrade your email or send an official invitation that you accept in your inbox. If you receive an invitation, this is how to accept it:
- Open the email from Canva in the inbox of the address you shared.
- Select Join the team in the email. Canva says you are not added until you accept, so this step matters.
- If you are asked to sign in, sign in with the same email address that received the invitation.
- If you do not have a Canva account yet, Canva will ask you to create one. Use that same email.
Canva's help centre also says an email invitation should be accepted within 30 days. If it expires, message us on WhatsApp and we will send a new one.
If the invitation does not arrive
- Check your Spam, Junk and Promotions folders.
- Search your inbox for "Canva".
- Confirm on WhatsApp that the email we have on the order is exactly right.
- If you created your Canva account after the invite was sent, tell us so we can resend it.
How to check that Pro is working
After you accept, open Canva and check a few things:
- Premium content unlocks. Templates, photos and elements marked with a crown should be usable without a watermark.
- Pro tools appear. Try the Background Remover on a photo, or use Magic Resize to turn a post into a story size.
- Brand Kit is available. You should be able to add your logo, colours and fonts in one place.
- Canva AI tools are there. Canva lists tools such as Magic Write and Magic Layers among its AI features.

How to switch to the right team in Canva
Canva lets one person belong to more than one team. According to Canva's help centre, you only see the designs and plans that belong to the team you are currently in. That is why Pro can look "missing" when you are simply in your personal space.
To switch:
- From the Canva homepage, select your profile icon.
- Under Teams, hover over or select your current team.
- Select the right arrow. You will see all your teams, with a check mark next to the one you are in.
- Select the team with Pro access.
If you have two separate Canva accounts with different emails, log out and log in again with the email you gave us.
